On selected dates over the coming months, this experience will take place at Ego Death, an underground cocktail bar located in the Northern Quarter. Three tarot readers will give you all the insights you seek in an opulent setting, as you sip on colourful cocktails inspired by the arcanas. What is “The Tarot Lounge”?
“The Tarot Lounge” is a 90-minute personal journey into the occult. At the start of the event, three professional tarot readers will shed light on the history of tarot and its purpose in case there are novices in the crowd.
Then, they will proceed with personal and group readings and look for paths of discovery and truth. Enhanced by the esoteric décor and the tarot-themed cocktails, this immersive experience transports you into a mystical realm, but only if you approach it with an open heart!

Tarot cards go as far back as the 15th century, when the tarocchi cards in Renaissance Italy were used for entertainment. By the late 18th century, tarot transitioned into a means of fortune-telling. The arcanas (decks) symbolised different facets of life, from upheaval to rebuild represented by The Tower to The Fool, embodying fearlessness.
In total, a deck has 78 cards divided into a major and minor arcana. Among them, the Wands represent creativity and passion, the Cups our emotions, the Swords reflect conflicts and the Pentacles illustrate material things.
