It’s perfect for summer.
The world is officially re-opening again, and with it comes some fabulous new outdoor dining spots – the newest of which is set to grace Stockport in just a few weeks time.
The brainchild of chef Sam Buckley, the man behind the acclaimed Where The Light Gets In, The Landing is set to provide Stockport with a brand new urban dining experience, planted on the top of the Merseyway precinct.
The space will have the capacity for up to 50 diners and is perfect for social distancing – creating an all-new open-air space which will reduce the risk of COVID-19 infections as the hospitality industry begins to open again. Kitted out with a wood-fired bread oven, a hand-built BBQ and even a coal smoker, guests will be able to enjoy the social space with hot dogs and local beers while the restaurant remains closed, with a gorgeous pergola covered in greenery really stealing the show.
The new outdoor restaurant will also double up as a rooftop garden, which will see vegetables, herbs and greenery grown on-site (alongside the WTLGI farm) which will be used within dishes at Where The Light Gets In.
The new concept launches on July 18, however, the main WTLGI restaurant will remain closed until further notice. In the meantime, guests can take advantage of their new takeaway service, called The Pickle Factory, which offers up an ever-changing weekly menu.
