The Damned have announced their ‘Final Damnation 50’ UK tour for the end of this year, celebrating half a century of their music. They’ll play a gig at the iconic Manchester Acdemy on Monday, November 30.
Alongside the date in the capital, The Damned will also play shows in Brighton, Bristol, London, Newcastle, Derby, & Birmingham, and will be supported by The Saints ’73-’78.

The Damned are pioneers of punk, spawning in 1976 and going on to be a defining band of the movement. Made up of the line-up of Dave Vanian, Captain Sensible, Rat Scabies, Paul Gray, and Monty Oxymoron, you’ll have a chance to catch them around the UK on their anniversary run before the year is out.
Speaking in a press release for the announcement, Captain Sensible said: “With 50 years of catalogue to choose from, only the best songs from our chequered history will be performed, and with the passion and commitment all good music lovers deserve. You know we won’t disappoint.”
Their tour includes a London show at the new British Airways ARC, among the first gigs to be announced at the venue, with Self Esteem playing the opening two nights at the space in June, and other announced acts including McFly, Joan Jett And The Blackhearts, Sammy Hagar, and more.
