Giving the humble jacket potato the spotlight and making it a viral sensation is Spud Bros, who have just teased that they will be opening a new store. Beady-eyed fans have figured out the location for the new jacket potato store from Spud Bros and it’s in none other than Manchester.
Starting up as a mobile van in Preston, brothers Harley and Jacob Nelson have seen their spud business grow exponentially online after sharing POV videos of their creations on TikTok. The Lancashire brothers, who now have over four million TikTok followers, often tour the UK with their van serving up their infamous jacket potatoes with classic toppings like cheese and baked beans, tuna mayo and chilli con carne as well as some unique twists.

Spud Bros has hosted a number of pop-up events in the UK, including one in Manchester last month which saw massive queues weaving all around Exchange Square. Harley and Jacob Nelson also have a Spud Bros Express store in London’s Soho, which opened in November last year.
In a recent TikTok video, Spud Bros confirmed exactly where their new store will be showing a Bruntwood SciTech sign and the front of a Trevor Sorbie store on the opposite side. This lead fans to identify the new Spud Bros store location as Manchester, which will be situated in the former Philpotts site on Marble Street in Spring Gardens. The new spot will be located near BrewDog Doghouse hotel and is just a stone’s throw away from Manchester’s Market Street and King Street.

However, despite teasing their new location, Spud Bros is yet to confirm an opening date for the Manchester store – but we’re sure it’ll be a s-mash hit when it does open.
