When the Guinness Six Nations Championship kicks off in a splatter of mud and a roar of the crowd this February, you’ll want to make sure you have a prime position to see every bit of the action. We’ve got just the place in mind. Escape to Freight Island have launched a Six Nations Hub, and will be streaming the games over the course of the competition. At the UK’s biggest fanzone outside of London, in collaboration with Guinness, fans will be treated to giant screens, a world-class sound system, pints of Guinness and a spread of food offerings at Escape to Freight Island. Tickets are available via the Escape to Freight Island website.
It’s a bit tricky to be jetting off to each match (though if you have somehow managed to bag tickets for all of them kudos to you), so chances are you’ll be looking for the next best place to see all the Six Nations’ matches live in their full action-packed glory. From February 5 until March 19, the massive screens at Freight Island will make you feel as if you have stepped onto the field itself, where the high-definition means you can see to the exact second before players collide in a bone-crunching tackle…
The lively atmosphere at the venue will only add to the experience. Every ripple of celebration you might expect if you were in the stands will be coursing through the people watching beside you, same with every stamp of the feet, cry of tense despair….right down to the familiar hoppy smell of beer clutched by the rows of fans. Fans can buy pints of Guinness, plus hearty food from Ace Dogs, and later in the tournament, Northern Soul.
