Following on from its appearance in Manchester city centre late last year, the Shaun the Sheep trail is making a baa-rilliant return – but this time in the Greater Manchester town of Bury. The free sculpture art trail of the famous Aardman-animated sheep will spring up in Bury town centre from February 28 to April 30.
Shaun the Sheep has become one of Wild in Art‘s most recognisable trails, previously appearing in locations such as Aviva Studios in Manchester and Tatton Park. As the biggest trail to take over the North West, the Shaun the Sheep trail in Bury is a chance to find more of the flock than ever before.

Nigel Shields, Town Centre Director at Bury BID, said: “We’re incredibly excited to be bringing the Shaun the Sheep Art Trail to Bury. It’s a free, fun, family-friendly attraction that will bring colour, creativity and a real sense of buzz to the town centre including during the Easter holidays.
“Trails like this are proven to encourage people to spend more time in town, discover new places and support local businesses, and we’re proud to be leading this initiative for Bury. Shaun the Sheep has huge cross-generational appeal, and we’re confident this trail will attract visitors of all ages. We’re encouraging everyone to come into town, explore the trail and enjoy everything Bury has to offer while the sheep are in residence.”
What is the Shaun the Sheep Find the Flock sculpture art trail?
Find the Flock is created by global art producer Wild in Art and Academy Award® winning independent animation studio Aardman. Delivered by Bury BID, the trail will see 12 Shaun the Sheep sculptures installed at key locations (including indoor and outdoor venues) throughout the town centre, creating a free, accessible experience designed to encourage exploration and celebrate creativity. Each sculpture has been individually designed by a national or international artist, making every Shaun a one-of-a-kind artwork from ‘Trail Grazer’ to ‘Can’t See The Wool From The Trees’ to ‘Classic Shaun’.
