Sankeys Manchester has announced that it has been granted a new 6am licence, meaning club-goers can dance the night away until sunrise. The nightclub has been back in action for a month now, with an announced season of established and rising names, plus special guests still to come.
The newly granted 6am licence restores the late-night freedom that Sankeys Manchester was once known for.
What to expect at the new Sankeys Manchester
The new 500-capacity space on Sidney Street features the same stripped-back, immersive atmosphere that defined the original Sankeys experience with an LED matrix installation and a no-VIP, no-phones dancefloor policy. Meanwhile, weekly Saturday events with unannounced headliners are now well underway with names like Heidi, Maya Jane Coles, Solardo, Stacey Pullen, Steve Lawler, Magda, Nick Curly, Oxia, and more set to take over the decks.

The Redlight: the 6am licence is not the only thing back at Sankeys Manchester
The news of a 6am licence coincides with the return of Sankeys Manchester seminal in-house brand, The Redlight, set to take place on Saturday 24th May across the Bank Holiday weekend.
Famously rooted in the original Sankeys Soap era throughout the 2000s and beyond, The Redlight was always dedicated to the club’s house and garage-focused programming and became synonymous with raw, sweat-soaked underground energy. The May Bank Holiday edition sees Felix Da Housecat headline under The Redlight banner, with OG Sankeys residents Krysko and Bucky in support and firmly anchoring the night in the club’s heritage.
