Set to join a host of new openings in Manchester this spring is a brand new hotel that looks pretty swanky. Residence Inn by Marriott, part of Marriott Bonvoy, is set to open its latest UK aparthotel in the heart of Manchester City Centre, making it the first in Northern England.
The aparthotel is situated on Laystall Street, less than a ten-minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly, but also ideally located next door to the bustling areas that are Ancoats and Northern Quarter. Residence Inn by Marriott Manchester Piccadilly offers a prime central location for those travelling into the city for work or play, or residents of Manchester looking for escapism to the city.
Marking the brand’s fifth Residence Inn property in the UK, the doors to this Manchester hotel with 155 guest rooms over 12 floors will open this May. The hotel will consist of sleek and spacious studios and one-bedroom suites, of which 25 offer baths and over half offer sofa beds, to suit solo visitors, corporates, couples, families or friends staying for business or leisure.
Plus, the hotel is also pet friendly, meaning that your furry family members can come along too. Modern design sweeps through both the individual apartments and communal areas, with the use of warm, neutral tones, that “strike the perfect balance between being at home and away from home”.
Every room comes with Smart-TVs and a fully functional kitchen, featuring microwaves, single ovens, two-ring hobs, refrigerators and dishwashers, with all the cookware you could possibly need to create a home cooked meal. Those staying on the higher floors can also expect stunning skyline views across central Manchester.
The soon to open longer-stay hotel offers relaxing lounge areas and a coffee shop with a grab and go counter for those whose visits match the fast-paced energy of the city. You can start your day with a delicious complimentary breakfast, or use the hotel’s bespoke grocery delivery service, keeping your room fully stocked with fresh goods to prepare your own favourite dishes.
Residence Inn by Marriott Manchester Piccadilly also boasts self-service communal laundry facilities on site which are open at all times and a fitness centre open 24/7 featuring high-spec cardio, resistance and free weight areas. Meeting spaces can be transformed to suit diverse needs, as well as an outdoor seating area for those that like to dine, drink, or work al fresco.
Additionally, the hotel will be home to two retail spaces on the ground floor, which will be independently accessible from the hotel and are available to let. Prices to stay at Residence Inn by Marriott Manchester Piccadilly, which opens in May, start from £135 per night.
