We probably don’t need to tell you, but we love a vintage shop in Manchester. Shopping sustainably can be hard, but with the enormous array of vintage and charity shops that call Manchester home, we’re well catered-for. Now, joining this loving vintage community is ReMarket, which recently opened on London Road, right in the heart of Piccadilly.
Having taken over the basement level of a massive multi-storey car park space in Piccadilly, ReMarket is one of the biggest vintage clothes stores in Manchester, selling everything from pre-loved jackets, jumpers, knitwear, trousers, skirts, t-shirts, shoes, accessories, to highlighting vintage and reworked brands, as well as its very own Cuppello coffee shop.
The 6000sq ft spot works perfectly as a vintage store, with ReMarket embracing the industrial, concrete interiors of the old car park and using it to add to its charm. With the likes of Carhartt, Stone Island and Levi’s on the racks, you could well find your next staple piece in this brand new vintage wonderland.
Traders including Archive X, 28 Vintage, Blank Seams and Bare Necessities are also using the space, adding to the eclectic feel of ReMarket, and a pop-up section takes centre stage, which is open to anyone to rent out for £80 per day – it will usually be local designers and reworkers, repurposing pre-loved pieces.
Shop ’til you drop, then grab a Cuppello coffee and have a sit down and a natter, and straight back to it. What could be more perfect?
The staff at ReMarket are, of course, lovely, and whether you’re a vintage newbie or well-versed in thrifting, they’re always available to answer any questions (or just for a chat). Plus, there’ll be new stock coming in regularly, so you’ll be sure to find something new each time you visit!
