This would be brilliant!
While it’s been an emotional week for Michelle Keegan fans as she departed from hit show Our Girl, it seems things are looking up, as it’s been reported that beloved comedian Peter Kay has been offered the chance to appear in popular Sky series, Brassic.
Making his official comeback to TV just last month for BBC’s Big Night In, which raised money for the current pandemic, fans might just be seeing more of the Bolton-born funny man, with Brassic creators Danny Brocklehurst and Joe Gilgun expressing their desire to get Kay involved somehow.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Brocklehurst said: “There are so many people it would be good fun to have in.
“I know Peter Kay loved the show’s season one. It’d be amazing if we could get him in it.”
A part in Brassic would be Kay’s first sitcom appearance since Car Share, which officially wrapped up in 2018, before recently making a comeback in an audio-only episode on BBC Player.
Brassic, which was partially filmed in Manchester, follows Lancashire ‘lad’ Vinnie and his best mate Dylan as they hilariously try and navigate life’s trials and tribulations. The show stars Joseph Gilgun, Michelle Keegan and Damien Molony, and will return for a second season May 7.
Season one is available to stream on Now TV.
