One thing about us is that we cant get enough of a holistic wellbeing stay, especially across in our neighbouring Wales. Luckily for us adventurers, the completely unique ÖÖD at Nook & Key Escapes opens on the stunning Isle of Anglesey on 30 April 2026, bringing ÖÖD’s mirror cabin concept to Wales for the first time.
Set within a four-acre farm estate near Llangefni, the property sits at the gateway to one of the UK’s most extraordinary and underreported landscapes, built by an operator with a generational connection to the island.
Stay ÖÖD, the Estonian brand behind some of the world’s most photographed Mirror House nature retreats, has opened its first Welsh destination in partnership with Nook & Key Escapes. ÖÖD by Nook & Key Escapes, situated on the Isle of Anglesey, marks a significant moment for both brands: ÖÖD’s arrival in Wales, and the largest and most ambitious site yet for Nook & Key Escapes.
What to expect at ÖÖD by Nook & Key Escapes

The mirror cabins
Set within four acres of untouched land on the Y Glyn Estate, the property brings together five ÖÖD mirror cabins. The mirrored cabins blend into the open Anglesey countryside around them, their glass facades reflecting the shifting light and landscape of the island rather than imposing upon it.
Each cabin features floor-to-ceiling mirrors, a king-size bed, air conditioning, underfloor heating and a thoughtfully considered interior designed to keep the focus on the landscape outside.
The wellness offering

The wellness offering is the most considered that Nook & Key Escapes has built into any site. Two of the mirror cabins come with wood-fired saunas, cold plunge pools and outdoor showers, delivering an authentic Nordic sauna experience within the Anglesey countryside.
The remaining three cabins offer private outdoor hot tubs alongside access to a larger shared sauna. It’s a setup that reflects the founders’ belief that genuine restoration requires more than a comfortable bed.
The surrounding Y Glyn Estate

Each stay at Y Glyn is built around a simple but deliberate rhythm. Days spent exploring: the sweeping sands and pine forests of Llanddwyn Beach, the surf and kitesurf conditions at Rhosneigr, RIB trips from the Menai Strait to Puffin Island, hiking routes into Snowdonia, or the medieval streets and castle of Beaumaris a short drive away.
Evenings spent recovering: stepping into the wood-fired sauna, taking the cold plunge, and settling into the long stillness of the Anglesey countryside at dusk through floor-to-ceiling glass.
Why Anglesey?

Anglesey is an island that has long been overlooked by the travel press. It sits within two hours of 15 million people across the North West and Midlands, yet its combination of protected coastline, ancient history, extraordinary wildlife and direct access to Snowdonia National Park remains one of the UK’s most undervalued short-break destinations.
Designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the island’s coastal path reveals clifftop walks, quiet coves and wide sandy beaches at every turn.

Daniel Fanselow, Head of Development, Stay ÖÖD said: “Wales has some of the most powerful natural landscapes in Europe, and it has been waiting for a property that does justice to them.
“This is exactly the kind of partnership ÖÖD was built for: a setting with genuine character, an operator with a clear vision, and a shared belief that nature should be at the centre of the experience rather than decoration around the edges of it.”
