There are tons of events taking place this month.
Kicking off summer in style, Altrincham’s bustling Stamford Quarter has received a stunning makeover – with the arrival of the ‘Not So Secret Garden’ taking front and centre.
Creating a glorious ‘social hub’ for locals to enjoy, the green suburban oasis is the perfect solution to post-lockdown socialising, providing a sun-trap of a location for visitors to catch up with friends, eat food and watch live entertainment.
Bringing covered al-fresco seating, communal benches and a covered pergola to the previously under-used area of Altrincham, guests can chow down on an ever-changing roster of street food, as well as a new bar and converted caravan by Stutter and Twitch – who are serving up both food and drinks from their quirky new station.
Sitting outside of a number of popular shops, including WH Smith and Flannels, the pop-up garden provides a whole new experience for shoppers to enjoy, with family-friendly entertainment also promised for the remainder of June.
So far, food traders have included boozy ice cream makers A Few Scoops and Bon Street Food, with Robert Owen Brown set to take over the kitchen from Friday 11th June til Sunday the 13th. A Few Scoops will also be returning, with a number of tasty flavours to try this weekend as the heatwave continues.
If that wasn’t all, there’ll also be live music on the square, too, with blues, funk and soul all in store for guests to bop along to this Friday and Saturday from 6pm. In contrast, fitness fans will be invited to take part in al fresco Yoga this Sunday at 11am, with a 30-minute session planned to unwind after a busy Saturday. Bookings are essential, and you can claim your place by email: stamfordquarterevents@
Next week’s schedule promises to be just as jam-packed, with a beer tasting session kicking off at 6pm Tuesday 15th June with Stutter & Twitch, the return of Robert Owen Brown and A Few Scoops on Friday 18th-Sunday 20th, and a fun HIIT session at lunchtime on Sunday 20th with Orangetheory.
