Prepare to be dazzled by the Northern Chamber Orchestra’s incredible talents.
Taking place on Mother’s Day, the Northern Chamber Orchestra will perform with one of the UK’s finest soloists, Benjamin Powell. Renowned for his piano skills, the performance will cover a variety of classical pieces – bringing the likes of Mozart and Shostakovich back to life.
The venue for the occasion is the award-winning Stoller Hall, a stunning, contemporary space that really adds to the atmosphere. Performances will include two of Mozart’s Divertimentos, the NCO’s composer in residence James Manson’s arrangement of Handel’s Violin Sonata and Shostakovich’s Concerto No. 1 for piano, trumpet and string orchestra, as well as other classics for audiences to enjoy.
The orchestra was established back in 1967 and has since presented many successful seasons of concerts across the North West, attracting serious talent throughout the years.
The unique programme will bring both timeless classics and contemporary arrangements together, making for a delightful Mother’s Day afternoon filled with beautiful music and stunning solo pieces that suit classical music fans from all walks of life. The orchestra only plays less than twenty concerts each year, so you don’t want to miss out.
