As we approach another glorious bank holiday, many will be planning trips into town, or through town to get further afield. For those travelling by tram on Sunday 3 May though, extra checks will be necessary because track repairs will be taking place at Manchester Victoria.
On Sunday 3 May, from the start of service until 10am, no trams will operate through Victoria to facilitate track repair works. During this time, the Rochdale and Bury line will terminate at Victoria, while the East Didsbury line will terminate at Exchange Square.
Alternative routes

A bus replacement service will run between Victoria and Piccadilly – these stops are located directly outside each station. The walk between Victoria and Piccadilly will take around 20-25 minutes, for those willing and able.
The bus replacement service will not call at Market Street, but you can use Piccadilly Gardens instead.
A temporary Metrolink map also shows the five minute walking route between Victoria and Exchange Square, which those swapping between the Rochdale and Bury, and East Didsbury lines may want to consider.

When will the trams be back to normal?
The track repairs will take place between the start of service and 10am on Sunday 3 May, after which time normal service will resume through Manchester Victoria.
