It’s all in the name of charity.
Following the success of their 2019 event, The Mowgli Trust – founded by Nisha Katona and her team at Mowgli – is hosting a family-friendly dog show this summer, with tons of exciting activities in store for guests to enjoy.
Using their nationwide platform for the greater good, the event was created to help raise vital funds for the Claire House charity – a children’s hospice which supports babies, children and young people who have sadly been diagnosed with terminal conditions. And after raising a whopping £32,000 just two years ago, the popular restaurant’s Trust is now busy working on the 2021 follow-up event, which will welcome families and dogs to Claremont Farm on the Wirral this September.
Welcoming Johnny Bongo of Bongo’s Bingo and Heart Radio’s Adam Weighell, who’ll be hosting at the Main Arena of the event, The Mowgli Trust Dog Show will bring canine competitions, great local food, drink and craft stalls, alongside interactive children’s activities and funfair attractions. But the best part? Every single penny of profit raised will be donated to Claire House – helping them to continue their incredibly important work helping terminally ill children.
Dog owners will be invited to bring their four-legged friends along to the event, too, with seven competition classes opening soon – covering fancy dress, best sausage catcher, and child’s best friend. Registration for the canine competition will open on the day of the event, where guests will be able to enter their pooches ahead of the day.
Taking place on Sunday 19th September from 10am-4pm, tickets are on sale now – costing just £5pp when purchased online. Guests will also be able to pay at the gate, however, ticket prices will increase to £7 on the day. Find out more here.
