The iconic Manchester hotel will be transformed in a large-scale renovation.
Currently undergoing renovations, The Midland Hotel is set to unveil a brand new look this June 2020, with all-new interiors for guests to enjoy.
The project, which is costing Leonardo Royal Hotels £14m, will see the hotel’s 312 bedrooms completely redesigned as well as the hotel’s public areas. The bedrooms will all feature a neutral colour palette to create a tranquil setting, with luxurious finishing touches such as comfy seating and big, fluffy pillows.
The hotel’s foyer will receive one of the biggest transformations, with a brand new split-level bar being introduced which will feature lavish details such as marble pillars, luxury seating and touches of green for added decadence. The striking new bar will be built on a raised platform and will be one of the hotel’s most eye-catching features once complete.
On-site restaurant Mrs Cooper’s will also receive the makeover treatment, receiving a full rebrand which will transform it into a British bistro with an all-day menu.
Most recently, their on-site spa was transformed into the brand new Rena Spa in November 2019, offering a selection of specialist treatments as well as treatments specifically designed for those who have, or are recovering from, cancer.
Speaking of the refurb, Jason Carruthers, Managing Director of Leonardo Hotels UK & Ireland, has said:
“The acquisition of The Midland hotel back in November 2018 marked the start of an extremely exciting chapter for Leonardo Hotels in the UK. The £14m investment allows us to make our own mark on this iconic Manchester property, whilst maintaining the hotel’s renowned grandeur. We’re very happy with how the refurbishment is progressing and look forward to welcoming guests, old and new to experience the stylish new surrounding of The Midland from June onwards.”
