Oktoberfest just got a Mancunian twist.
We might not be able to jet-set away for a big old knees-up for the time being, but that doesn’t mean we can’t bring the party to us. Taking the iconic Oktoberfest and giving it a proper Manc twist, Manctoberfest is rolling into town this October, and it’s set to be beer-tastic.
Combining the Bavarian-themed extravaganza with some of the best indie and rock music hailing from Manchester, guests will get to experience a slice of Munich without the need for a passport, with music, beer, food and dancing all under one roof.
Taking place at the B.E.C. Arena on 1st October and 3rd October, the entertainment line-up will not only include a live Oompah band – who’ll be bringing the Oktoberfest vibes with them – but also a top-class string of acclaimed tribute bands, who’ll be performing hits by Oasis, The Stone Roses, Happy Mondays, New Order, and The Courteeners.
Bringing back a slice of normality after months in lockdown, Friday’s party – which will include performances by the Happy Mondays and New Order tributes – is set to run all night long, staying open until 2 o clock in the morning.
If that wasn’t all, beer lovers will get to guzzle on a whole host of authentic German lagers served in traditional steins (but of course!), with a number of food vendors in tow serving Bavarian dishes such as bratwurst, pretzels and more.
Tickets are selling out super fast already, however, you can get your hands on yours here before they’re gone. Tickets start at £15 per person, with both standing and seated tickets available via Fever.
