Manc musicians – both born and adopted – have played a massive part in shaping the musical landscape. From 10cc and the Bee Gees, to Joy Division, New Order, The Smiths, The Stone Roses and a little band called Oasis, we’ve produced some of the greats. But what would you say is Manchester’s top tune?

Radio station, XS Manchester, posed this exact question to its listeners back in March, inviting them to vote for their favourite tunes from their favourite Manc bands.

The final 32 were revealed in a countdown on Bank Holiday Monday hosted by Manchester music legends and Happy Mondays members Bez and Rowetta.
