It’s the closest we’ll be getting to a holiday these days…
After a pretty solid run of glorious weather last month, Manchester has since been plagued with its signature grey clouds, looming over us with all their misery and teasing us as we impatiently await the sun’s return. And it looks like that anticipation is finally over, as highs of 24 degrees are expected this Wednesday, matching the temperatures of sunny Ibiza.
Whether you prefer to sit out with a beer all day or curl up with a book in the shade, the Met Office has reported all sun and no cloud for this Wednesday, May 20 – and it comes at the ideal time too, as the UK lockdown rules now permit sunbathing.
Mancs can expect high temperatures throughout the day, peaking at 24 degrees at around 4pm – perfect for working on that quaran-tan. And not only that, but we’ll also see warmer days than those of last week, with another glorious day of sunshine predicted for Sunday 24 May.
While we can now leave the house to bask in the sun and take up unlimited exercise, it’s important that we continue to follow the government guidelines, and not bend the rules when it comes to visiting the nation’s beauty spots.
The rest of the week will see potential showers on Thursday and Saturday, so if you’re planning to make the most of the rare Mancunian sunshine, we’d recommend getting yourself out in the great outdoors this Wednesday. Keeping your 2-metre distance, of course.
