Christmas Crowd Haters Rejoice, A Night Market Is Coming To Manchester

Another Christmas market is coming to Manchester

Not to blow our own trumpet, but Manchester’s Christmas markets are magnificent. So good in fact, that people are willing to travel from far and wide just to visit. But for some shoppers, that’s a problem in itself.

Battling with all those people (and pushchairs) when you’re trying to do a bit of Christmas shopping can make the whole experience miserable. And it’s even worse for those who are just popping in for a swift sausage or a cheeky pint. Thankfully, the folks at Levenshulme Markets have the solution to our market malaise. Night markets!

The group has organised a night at the museum on Thursday (December 6). Which will see stalls selling unique, handmade gifts, as well as some of Manchester’s best street food pop up at Manchester Museum from 6pm until 10pm.

Shoppers will be able to browse stalls selling jewellery, knitwear, Christmas wreaths, ceramics, candles, soaps and skincare, artwork, cards and more – all handmade by craftspeople from Manchester and the North West.  And there will be plenty of delicious street food from the likes of Wholesome Junkies, The Ottomen, Samosa Shack, The German Sausage Co and many more. Mulled wassail cider, smoking bishop and other hot tipples will also be available from The Levy Market Bar and music will be provided by MCR live.

There will also be an after-work Christmas Party featuring Beatific DJs, a dance floor, street food, two bars and the chance for last-minute Christmas shopping on the Levenshulme station car on December 21.

And for the masochists among us, the day markets will be on the Levenshulme station car park this Saturday (December 8) and December 15 from 10am – 4pm.
