1. Treat Yourself To An Immersive Performance Of Trainspotting (April 16 – 21)

The story follows Mark Renton and his friends, living through the Edinburgh heroin scene of the 80s. And this punchy 75-minute production promises to recapture passion and the controversy of the famous novel, then globally successful film, and repackage it into an immersive production where the audience will literally be part of the show. 2. Get Lost In Music With Mark Farina (April 18)

For Lost in Music’s first party of 2019, Joshua Brooks will welcome the legendary Mark Farina for an exclusive three-hour, Mushroom Jazz set. Mark has solidified himself in the world of Dance Music as a trailblazing DJ, Producer, tastemaker and bona fide House Music icon. 3. See Some Live Stand Up At The Frog And Bucket (April 19)

The Frog & Bucket has seen a host of comedic talent pass through its doors, and its open mic night has helped to launch stars such as Peter Kay, Johnny Vegas, John Bishop, Jason Manford, Sarah Millican and many more. 4. Take A Trip To Bolton Wine Festival (April 20)

Cirque du Vulgar, the adults-only circus, will feature a fire-breathing pyromaniac, alluring hula hoopers, sexy strong men, nail-biting acrobats and a fearsome Dominatrix flying high in the Big Top.

Nudity and naughtiness will be the order of the day at Cirque du Vulgar, beginning with the three gorgeous ‘Vulgarettes’ who will perform a topless feather dance. 6. Eat At The World’s First Easter Egg Cafe

We’ve no shortage of egg-cellent options when it comes Easter egg shopping in Manchester, whether you’re after something simple or planning going all out with a themed egg. And this year Intu Trafford Centre will be offering up something extra fancy in the world’s first pop-up easter egg cafe.

The cafe will be serving a selection of chocolatey treats from dessert shop Haute Dolci April 20. The eggs will be priced at £7 and chocolate lovers will be able to choose from a selection of indulgent fillings. For more information click here.

7. Try These Outrageously Indulgent Creme Egg Desserts

This Easter, the team at My Cookie Dough in the Arndale Centre has dreamt up two limited edition products that promise to deliver on both flavour and imagination. The Creme Egg Brownie promises a triple chocolate brownie cookie dough base, with a melted creme egg on top and a sprinkling of Mini Eggs for added crunch.

And the star of the season is sure to be the store’s heavenly version of the scotch egg. The Instagram-friendly masterpiece is made up of a molten creme egg, which is wrapped in cookie dough and coated in Lotus Biscoff. The whole thing is then baked to create a crispy dough egg with a creme egg yolk that spills out when it’s sliced in half. Click here for more information.

8. Tackle The Afflecks Alternative Easter Bunny Trail (April 15 – 30)

The emporium of eclecticism, based in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, has launched an Easter trail featuring hand-painted bunnies designed by artists based in the shopping centre. The trail will give visitors the chance to spot some new additions to the building’s interior artwork, get their hands on free Creme Eggs and be in with a chance of winning a £100 Afflecks jackpot!
