The weather has really been coming through for us over the past few weeks in Manchester – as in, not a cloud in the sky – and now to round it off, it’s set to get even better. As we approach the weekend, our fingers are crossed for some beautiful sun to enjoy, and looking at the Met Office, we won’t be disappointed, as Manchester is forecast to be hotter than the gorgeous French Riviera this Saturday.
Prepare yourselves, because the Met Office is forecasting a frankly tropical 21°C for this Saturday 12th April, leaving the Riviera’s Nice in the dust at 18°C. Oh, we cannot WAIT to be sat in a beer garden.
The Met Office says ahead of Thursday: “Any fog and low cloud clearing during the morning to leave another fine day with prolonged sunny skies. Feeling warmer than Wednesday owing to lighter winds. Maximum temperature 18 °C.” In itself, a win for Manchester.
Then, the all-important outlook for Friday to Sunday: “Plenty of warm sunshine on Friday after fog clears through the morning. More cloud around during the weekend with an increasing chance of showery rain. Cooler and windier by Sunday.”
OK, the weather is set to turn for us here in Manchester, but we’re choosing not to focus on that. What matters is that Saturday sunshine, and for once we won’t be wishing we’re over the Channel in the French Riviera, because it’ll be hotter in Manchester than on the continent.
