Manchester City has today (March 5) revealed a number of details regarding the Club’s 401-room hotel as part of the Etihad Stadium development, including its name, opening date and official partner. Based on the football club’s location, the hotel has been named The Medlock after the River Medlock hat runs underneath the Etihad Campus.
The brand new four-star hotel will be connected to the Etihad Stadium and located within the Club’s wider development at the Etihad Campus. Operated all year round by global hoteliers, Radisson Hotel Group, the hotel will provide accommodation for music and sport fans who are attending events at the Etihad Stadium and the Co-op Live, as well guests exploring the campus and Manchester.

The Medlock will feature 401 rooms consisting of suites, deluxe and standard rooms, in addition to a luxury penthouse suite. Upon completion in late 2026, guests will also have access to a wide variety of food and drink outlets, museum experience and commercial office space in the expanded stadium area.
Viewed from Joe Mercer Way, the hotel and food and drink outlets are situated on the left flank of the development with all other facilities contained within the right flank. LED screens which are approximately four stories in height will also feature at the end of each flank.
The Medlock is one of many new additions coming to the Etihad Campus, including an expansion of the Manchester City stadium’s North Stand, a sky bar and a roof walk experience. In addition, there are plans for a covered City Square fan zone.

Roel de Vries, Chief Operating Officer at City Football Group, said: “Today’s announcement is an exciting moment as we reveal the name of our hotel as ‘The Medlock’ and welcome globally renowned hotelier, Radisson Hotel Group to the Etihad Campus.
