We’re not short of amazing festivals in Greater Manchester, but one kind that’s always fun is a tribute festival. The likes of Festwich and BoltFest are always well-attended, and another Bolton-based tribute festival returning for summer 2025 is Made in Manchester – featuring incredible tribute bands playing the best of Manchester’s iconic music scene.
Celebrating the fantastic Manchester music scene, Made in Manchester brings you some of the best tributes to the iconic music of Manchester, plus some of the best local homegrown talent Greater Manchester has to offer. Think Oasis, James, The Stone Roses, Happy Mondays and more, without the too real price tag – but still with all the hits.
Made in Manchester isn’t just an amazing day out for music-lovers, it’s a real family friendly affair too. There’s an outdoor bar, plenty of food stalls, a VIP area and even a fairground – just remember, anyone aged 17 and under MUST be accompanied by an adult. Gates open at 12pm on Saturday 14th June, with first acts on at 12.15pm, and the curfew is 10.30pm – so everyone can be tucked up in bed nice and early.
Located on the outdoor grounds of Bolton Arena, Made in Manchester festival is surrounded by gorgeous countryside thanks to the scenic Rivington Pike which is just a stone’s throw away, but is also perfect for arriving by train or bus. Horwich Parkway station is just around the back of the Arena, and plenty of buses pass through regularly.
Some parking is available for those who have to drive, although this is on a first come, first served basis, so alternative travel is advised. What’s more, if you fancy turning up that bit early, why not have a browse of Middlebrook, the largest outdoor retail park in the UK? It’s just the other side of Bolton Wanderers’ Toughsheet Stadium from Bolton Arena.
