A new pop-up bar has arrived at Selfridges Manchester Trafford inspired by the red-soled heels that Christian Louboutin is so famous for. Known as Loubibar, very close to the name of Louboutin’s eau de parfum Loubimar, the bar will serve bespoke cocktails taking inspiration from the French fashion house and their luxurious £700 shoes.
Taking over the accessories hall on the lower level of the department store for the next five weeks opposite the new Christian Louboutin boutique, guests can pull up a seat on one of the plush velvet stools at the signature red bar. Loubibar celebrates the boutique’s arrival where the designer’s latest Spring collection of signature shoes and accessories are now on display.
At the 360 cocktail bar, shoppers can enjoy bespoke cocktail creations including the Rouge Follies (a spin on the classic Cosmopolitan), the Loubifunk (mixing gin with aromatic notes of cherry and zesty limes) and the amusingly named Loubidoo (a ‘transportive’ cocktail laced with coconuts and lime). The design of Loubibar incorporates the brands playful wit and charm into its design.
The bar, topped with a lit sign gives an ode to classic Parisian brasseries, whilst the brand’s signature red features throughout the space. Seating is available around the bar as well as a number of booths all featuring textiles complimenting the adjacent Christian Louboutin boutique.
Christian Louboutin established his business in the heart of Paris in 1992, first with a collection for Women followed by a Men’s collection a few years later, both recognizable by the signature red lacquered sole. 2014 welcomed Christian Louboutin Beauté, while in, 2022 the House launched a new category dedicated to Kids and Pets: The LoubiFamily.
An absolute favourite with celebrities such as the Kardashians and Cardi B, as well as Sarah Jessica Parker’s character Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City, Christian Louboutin’s shoes have long been considered an iconic symbol of style. With a prolific collection of shoes, leather goods and accessories, Christian Louboutin now counts more than 150 points of sales around the world.
Located in the accessories hall on the lower level for a limited time, the red pop-up cocktail bar Loubibar celebrates the new Christian Louboutin boutique at Selfridges Manchester Trafford, where the designer’s latest Spring collection of signature shoes and accessories are available.
