We love a good laugh, and with so many theatres and comedy clubs in Manchester it’s sometimes hard to choose which one to visit. Well, that decision is being made easier for one night only, as the Lowry celebrates 25 years of top stand-up with their very special comedy night Live at Lowry – with 500 free tickets being given away to Salford residents.
On Wednesday 7th May, Live at Lowry is the chance for you to catch some of the nation’s best comedy talent, all under one roof in an evening full of fun and laughs. From the amazing Phil Wang, John Kearns, Sophie Duker, and the dynamic duo Flo & Joan, and with local favourite Dan Nightingale hosting, the night will be packed with energy, charm, and non-stop silliness!
A whopping 500 free tickets to Live at Lowry are being given away to Salford residents to say ‘thank you’ for their part in the past two-and-a-half decades, welcoming the Lowry into their city and hearts. All proceeds from the performance will go back into supporting Lowry’s incredible work in the local communities.
Live at Lowry is part of the Lowry’s 25th Anniversary celebrations—marking its commitment to creativity, opportunity, and making the arts available to everyone. From the iconic work of L.S. Lowry to the life-changing impact of its programmes with young people, the Lowry is celebrating with an inspiring mix of shows, art and events.
Julia Fawcett O.B.E., Chief Executive of Lowry, said: “Our Lowry was one of the very first initiatives launched when the Lowry opened—created especially for Salford residents. It’s always been a way for us to recognise just how important our local audiences and communities are to us.
“Over the past 25 years, Our Lowry has provided access to free and discounted tickets, helping thousands of people enjoy performances and creative experiences in their own city. But it’s been about more than just tickets—we’ve hosted events, run creative participation activities, and created memorable experiences like the incredible People’s Premiere of War Horse.
“We’re delighted to be able to offer 500 Our Lowry members the chance to be the first to apply for these free tickets, to join us at Live at Lowry, and to help us celebrate our birthday.”
The first to hear about the free tickets will be the Our Lowry database which is a ticket scheme specifically for Salford residents, but following this anyone with a Salford postcode can apply for the tickets.
How can I get free tickets for Live at Lowry?
- Our Lowry members will be sent a link to apply for a pair of free tickets to Live at Lowry. After this the link can be shared with other Salford residents.
- Enter before midnight on 9th April.
- On 10th April, after postcode eligibility checks, 250 people will randomly be selected to receive two free tickets each.
- They will be sent a single use promo code to book their free tickets.
