Mancunians Can Take On A Lunchtime Hobby At Spinningfields’ New Allotment

By Laura Rogan February 28, 2020

Take on a new spring hobby at The Little ‘Lot!

Opening mid-March, Spinningfields is sprouting a brand new feature and it’s perfect for those looking to fill their lunchtimes with something wholesome.

The new community project aims to give locals the chance to spend their lunch outdoors, giving hardworking Mancunians the opportunity to take up a new hobby at the allotment.

The project will be led by the Spinningfields Gardener (how very mysterious!), with aprons, gloves and equipment provided to all volunteers. Participants will learn the basics, including how to plant everything from vegetables and herbs, to fruit and flowers. It’s the perfect opportunity to wind down before heading back to your desk for the day.

The project is for a good cause too, with all proceeds generated being donated to the St John’s Homeless Initiative charity.

The allotment will be open twice weekly between 12-2pm, with more information available from helpdesk@spinningfields.co.uk.
