Levenshulme has long been famed for its traditional community market offering, and after its own market ceased to exist, the Manchester suburb has been calling out for a new one. Answering that call is the Makers Market, known for popping up all over Greater Manchester with a vibrant variety of food, drink, crafts, homewares, jewellery and so much more – and Levenshulme is ready to welcome back moochers and traders to the old market spot.
The Makers Market invites locals and visitors to spend the day wandering the market, discovering local makers, enjoying freshly prepared food, and soak up the sounds of live music drifting through the market. Live music throughout the day will be provided by Christos Konnaris, so you’ll have a soundtrack to your browsing of handmade goods, sweet treats, clothing, art, homewares, skincare, and plenty of delicious street food.

Family-friendly activities
Not only will there be plenty of stalls for every taste, Levy Makers Market is set to be a lovely day out for the whole family. Face painting will be available by Cyan Wing, plus there’ll be free children’s craft activities that the little (and big) ones can get involved with.
Basically, the kids won’t have to trudge around all day, and as soon as you hear the dreaded “I’m bored”, you’ll have somewhere nearby to whisk them away to.
When and where is the Makers Market?
The Levenshulme Makers Market takes place on the last Saturday of every month, this month being Saturday 25th April, from 10am-4pm.
It’ll be held at the old Levy Market site on Stockport Rd, M19 3AD.
