LEVEN is the newest among a fresh fleet of luxury hotels here in Manchester… But after a warm and welcoming stay earlier this month, we’re not sure there’s anywhere in the world that’s more ‘Manc’. Industrial, laid-back and incredibly inviting, the hotel encapsulates the spirit of Manchester perfectly – tying up the most beloved elements of our city with one big, stylish bow.
Set within a former cotton warehouse – which was then transformed into a brewery – LEVEN Manchester fully embraces the city’s industrial heritage, putting the stunning Crittall windows front and centre and leaving much of the original brick exposed throughout the building.
But while the history of the building certainly screams Victoriana, LEVEN Manchester lives right here in the present. Its ethos is to be so inviting, that you couldn’t possibly out-stay your welcome, with the team actually encouraging you to “stay for a day, or a year”. The latter of which we absolutely would have done if we had to funds.
Oozing both luxury and comfort, guests can enjoy the peace and quiet of the contemporary rooms, wind down in one of the lavish stand-alone bathtubs, or take in the subtle glamour of the lobby, which boasts turn-of-the-century interiors that perfectly compliment the industrial bones of the building. There, guests can pick up a cocktail or a cuppa tea – whatever floats your boat – while escaping the hustle and bustle of the city that surrounds, with DJs regularly taking over the space to elevate the *ambience*. Come work or play, there really is no reason the leave LEVEN, thanks to its social and co-working friendly communal space that lies at the heart of the hotel.
LEVEN can be found at 40 Chorlton St, M1 3HW and you can book a stay here.
