Jet2 has put more than 240,000 seats on sale from Manchester Airport for its Winter 2027/28 city breaks and Christmas Markets programme.
Customers and independent travel agents in the Northwest can now book flights to 13 European destinations, including five dedicated Christmas market routes.
The programme includes festive favourites such as Prague, Vienna and Cologne, alongside year-round city break destinations including Barcelona, Rome, Porto and Venice.
Tallinn is also being offered as an exclusive Christmas Markets route from Manchester Airport with Jet2.com.
Five Christmas market routes from Manchester Airport
The dedicated Christmas Markets programme includes flights to:
- Berlin
- Cologne
- Gdansk
- Prague
- Strasbourg
- Tallinn
Travellers can also book additional seasonal flights to Budapest, Krakow and Vienna, on top of their scheduled winter services.
Jet2 says flights will operate between two and six times a week during the festive season. This is designed to suit short breaks, long weekends and longer seasonal getaways in the run-up to Christmas.
The Winter 2027/28 programme is being released alongside Jet2’s Winter 2026/27 and Summer 2027 schedules, giving customers the chance to plan several upcoming trips at once.
Steve Heapy, chief executive of Jet2, said Christmas market breaks and winter city escapes remained popular with the airline’s customers.
“Christmas Market and winter city breaks are a firm favourite with our customers, whether they want the traditional festive experience in cities such as Berlin, Cologne, Gdansk, Prague, Strasbourg and Tallinn or the chance to get away for a seasonal city break,” he said.
He added that putting more than 240,000 seats on sale from Manchester would give customers in the Northwest “great choice and flexibility” when booking their winter travel.
The airline’s wider Winter 2027/28 programme includes 15 European city break destinations across its UK airport network, with more than 800,000 seats on sale overall.
Where to go for a festive break
The schedule offers a mix of classic Christmas market destinations and less traditional winter city breaks.
Prague and Vienna are suited to travellers looking for grand architecture, historic squares and established festive markets. Cologne offers a particularly traditional Christmas market experience, with stalls set against the backdrop of its famous cathedral.
Gdansk and Tallinn provide alternatives for travellers keen to explore smaller historic centres and Baltic winter traditions. Meanwhile, Strasbourg brings the option of a French festive break, with its old town and seasonal markets offering a different atmosphere from the larger central European capitals.
For travellers who prefer sightseeing and culture to Christmas markets, the programme also includes Barcelona, Rome, Porto and Venice. These destinations offer the chance to plan a winter city break without making festive markets the main focus.
Flights and Jet2CityBreaks packages for Winter 2027/28 are now on sale from Manchester Airport.
