Most restaurants ask you to share the room; however, Hukum, a new project from the acclaimed Royal Nawaab, does the opposite. Meaning “command”, Hukum hosts one party at a time, with the whole space belonging to that group for the evening and tailored to guests’ dining, entertainment, and hospitality preferences.

Set to open its doors at Stockport Pyramid in late November, Royal Nawaab describes Hukum as its new vision of private dining, and bills it as “the most private dining experience in the UK”. It’s a bold claim, but the format itself is clear: personal service, and a space that adapts to one group rather than many.
What a booking at “the most private dining experience in the UK” includes
The idea is discretion. Once you arrive, nobody else needs to know you’re there. Guests arrive through their own private entrance, with more than 30 private parking spaces available on site, allowing them to enjoy their occasion away from the public.

Inside, Hukum features an elegant lounge with booth seating, a dedicated dining area accommodating up to 26 guests, a stylish bar and DJ booth. Outside, a heated terrace, outdoor shisha lounge, and live BBQ station provide additional space to socialise and entertain throughout the year.

Food and drink at Hukum
Hukum’s private dining experience centres on three customisable multi-course collections that fuse Indian and Pakistani heritage with modern global techniques:
- The Culinaire (£200 | Five Courses): A refined introduction featuring a tandoor-fired Chicken Tikka Tower, Tandoori Scallops with mango salsa, Coconut Shrimp with caramelised pineapple, and Supreme Tandoori Roast Chicken over Bombay mashed potatoes.
- The Gastronomy (£300 | Six Courses): An elevated progression highlighting Grilled Smoked Paneer Tikka, Roasted Hake with coriander oil, and Tandoori Chicken Roulade, anchored by a rich, slow-braised Lamb Shank in Nihari sauce.
- The Table of Gold (£350 | Signature Experience): The flagship showcase marries luxury provisions with subcontinent spice, pairing Smoked Salmon Rosette and black caviar, Pan-Seared Cod and Scallops in scallion curry cream, Modern Beef Wellington, and Tandoori Lamb Chops with masala fondant, concluded by a Mango and Cardamom Crème Brûlée.

The space also hosts an exclusive, fully licensed private bar pouring tailored house cocktails—such as the Golden Hour (Pisco Quebranta, Aperol, salted banana, yuzu, mango wine) and Eden After Dark (rum, Fernet-Branca, passion fruit, cinnamon). A minimum spend applies.
Hukum in Stockport represents the flagship of a wider ambition for Royal Nawaab, with plans to expand the concept into major cities around the world. The new concept is scheduled to open at Royal Nawaab at Stockport Pyramid with a two-week series of launch events from November 23rd.
