Calling all chocolate fans, as life just got that little bit sweeter and dreamier. Hotel Chocolat has announced that it will be opening a new concept store in a Greater Manchester town of Bury and, better still, it will be home to the beloved Velvetiser Cafe. Set to open on July 13 at The Rock in Bury, the luxury chocolatier will be serving the iconic Velvetised drinking chocolate alongside other hot drinks, making it a chocolate lover’s paradise.
Guests can explore a wide range of customisable combinations, choosing from 18 different Velvetised flavours served hot, over ice, or as a Choc Shake. The drinks can be tailored with dairy milk or plant-based alternatives, along with an array of delicious toppings like cocoa whip, chocolate batons, dunking biscuits, shortbread, and of course, more chocolate, for that perfect personal touch.
The Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser Cafe will be located within a 1,420 sq ft unit at The Rock Bury and offers a welcoming space for 33 guests to sit in, relax and enjoy their time while browsing a select range of Hotel Chocolat’s premium chocolates. The team can also help customers find their chocolate ‘Love Match’ based on their preferred flavour profiles including smooth pralines, patisserie-inspired flavours or something tipsy which packs a punch.

For eager shoppers keen to get a first glimpse of the new store, Hotel Chocolat will be offering surprise and delight moments to customers who purchase on opening day, as well as 20% off the Velvetiser Cafe for VIP.ME members, the chocolatier’s member club, which is free to join.
The Hotel Chocolat store and Velvetiser Cafe opens at The Rock, 1 Goodall St, Bury, BL9 0JY from July 13. Opening hours for the store, once open, are: Monday – Friday 9am – 7pm, Saturday 9am – 6pm and Sunday 10:30am – 5pm.
