A New ‘Holiday To Help Out’ Scheme Is Offering Brits Discounts On Their Next Trip

By Secret Manchester October 19, 2020

The Holiday To Help Out scheme is here to remind us that the world really is our oyster.

The tourism industry is just one of many that have suffered at the hands of Covid-19. And due to rising infections rates, quarantines and the ever-changing travel corridor list, it’s easy to see why Brits are opting for staycations over vacations. Now, travel media company TTG, has come up with a wonderful solution to encourage customers to explore the world again and give the industry the kick-start it truly needs.

They have launched a Holiday To Help Out initiative, which will offer generous discounts to those booking their next trip between November 2 – 8. The scheme has already garnered support from nearly 50 travel companies across the UK, each offering deals to make our future trips that more affordable. EasyJet Holidays, Celebrity Cruises, Virgin Voyages and Santa’s Lapland are just a few tour operators already on board! TTG will announce more details of the scheme in the upcoming weeks, so stay tuned.

Unlike the Eat Out To Help Out scheme, Holiday To Help Out isn’t supported by the government at all. TTG has taken matters into their own hands and are single-handedly trying to save the industry. Editor of TTG, Sophie Griffiths, said “Inspired by the Chancellor’s Eat Out To Help Out scheme, we hope the Holiday To Help Out initiative will create similar excitement about travel and prompt customers to go and talk to their local travel agent about booking the holiday of their dreams.”

Turns out there aren’t too many countries we can travel to without quarantining at the moment but if a few days indoors doesn’t faze you, then this may be the perfect incentive to hop on a plane. All bookings must be made through a supporting travel agent to secure the discounts and you’ll find more information on their website.
