Henry has become a bit of an icon over the years – whether you dragged him in tow as you hoovered your university halls or saw him dance on stage at a Bongo’s Bingo night, he was never too far behind. To celebrate the legendary vacuum cleaner brand’s 45th birthday, Henry is going on a double-decker bus tour across the UK, and it’s heading to Manchester next.
The Henry double-decker bus tour has already visited several major UK cities, including Birmingham, Bristol, Liverpool, and London, over the past few days. The Henry 45th birthday bus will pop up at Manchester’s Piccadilly Gardens tomorrow (May 28) before heading to its final stop of the tour, the Royal Bath and West Show, on Friday 29th May.

Henry is part of the Numatic company, which was founded in 1969 in Crewkerne, Somerset, where it produced its first commercial vacuum cleaner design for cleaning coal, oil, and gas-fired boilers. The company later moved to Beaminster in Dorset, and in 1981, the “Henry” cleaner was introduced to customers.
When is the Henry birthday bus tour in Manchester, and where will it be?
The Henry double-decker bus will be parked up at the Wellington Statue in Piccadilly Gardens, Manchester, M1 1AF on Thursday 28th May from 10am to 4pm.
