An all-female gig and tap take over is coming to Hatch.
Hatch in Manchester’s Oxford Road will be celebrating International Women’s Day with a special, all-female event. The gig will feature some of Manchester’s most talented songwriters, singers and all round great woman-crush-worthy females.
Hatch’s resident monthly open mic night curator Izzie Walsh will be performing alongside a selection of strong, Manchester-based female leads hand-picked by Izzie, including Toria Wooff with her ‘brilliantly crafted, unique, vintage folk ballads’ and local singer-songwriter Chloe Jones’ acoustic country and Americana inspired sounds.
It’s all free and will take place in the Courtyard on Friday (March 8) between 6pm and 10pm. There will also be an IWD tap takeover in Ol using breweries with all female brewing teams for the whole weekend and Takk will be showcasing coffee roasted by female roasters.
Don’t forget to pay the amazing Jenny from Nordic Muse a visit too. Jenny is the founder of the own-label jewellery and branded Nordic lifestyle collective with a beautiful array of Scandi products to pick from.
Nordic Muse will be contributing 10 per cent of their profits on Friday to Womenkind and raising money in-store through customer donations. Womenkind is a UK based charity working towards a worldwide movement for change. This charity is endorsed by IWD and an important partner in support of this year’s theme #balanceforbetter.
