Howl’oween is coming to town!
Spooky pooches, this one’s for you. Returning to the city for the fourth year running, Howl’oween is set to cast a dark shadow over Hatch, bringing ghostly vibes to the beloved shipping container complex. An event planned especially for dogs, four-legged floofs and their owners will be able to hang out with other hoomans and puppers, with plenty of entertainment and socialisation planned for the day.
Kicking off at 12 noon on Halloween (31st October, for those who don’t own a calendar), dogs are invited to rock up to the pooch-friendly space in their very best costume, with competitions running throughout the day. Judged by BBC Pooch Perfect’s Tom Heaton-Clarke, along with a panel of some of Manchester finest stylists and costume designers, dogs will be judged on four categories – including ‘Best Small Dog’, ‘Best Medium Dog’, ‘Best Large Dog’ and ‘Best Owner/Dog Combo’.
Dishing out plenty of prizes throughout the day, guests will get the chance to win trophies and hampers, before browsing the many dog-themed market stalls that will be popping up for the occasion. Treat your pup to brand new accessories or spoil them silly with delicious pooch-friendly treats, with plenty on offer to suit every doggo.
Additionally, Hatch will also be throwing an epic doggie disco with The Swaywards, who’ll be playing canine-themed hits such as Hound Dog and Who Let The Dogs Out.
The event opens at 12 noon, and The Spooky Pooch competition will take place between 12-3pm, with stalls open til 5pm. Find Hatch at 103 Oxford Rd, M1 7ED.
