A Harry Potter-themed brunch is coming to a secret location in Manchester.
Perhaps it’s time to accept the sad truth, we aren’t getting our Hogwarts letter. We won’t be getting our school supplies in Diagon Alley or spending our wizard gold on chocolate frogs on the Hogwarts Express. But all is not lost, this year a fully immersive Harry Potter-themed brunch is making its way to Manchester as part of an eight-city tour, which means we will finally be able to enjoy a magical feast in the Great Hall!
The famous Wizard’s Brunch has proved a sell-out hit in the States and organisers are bringing the magic of Harry Potter to Manchester for a three-hour immersive dining experience unlike any other.
The banquet will take place in one of the city’s most spectacular venues (organisers are keeping the location secret for now, but we’ve no shortage of great hall-worthy buildings in Manchester).
After which guests will be able to try their hand at concocting their own potions and casting and creating spells, before finding out what their future holds at the hands of magical fortune tellers.
And be sure you brush up on your Harry Potter trivia as each house will compete to win points and take home the house cup. Fancy dress is highly encouraged but not essential and there’ll be a selection of props available for those who don’t fancy wandering the streets in their wizarding garb beforehand.
The three-hour brunch will include a selection of wizarding foods as well as vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free choices. The family-friendly event is perfect for all ages, but anyone aged 15 or under must be accompanied by an adult.
