
Yesterday (July 4), saw people in the Greater Manchester region head to the polls and the 2024 General Election results have been gradually rolling in throughout the night and into the early hours of the morning. Parliamentary seats were up for grabs in all ten Greater Manchester boroughs including Bolton, Bury, Oldham, Manchester, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford and Wigan.

Across the UK, the Labour Party won an overall majority in the General Election with 412 seats, gaining 211 seats, with Sir Keir Starmer now announced as the new Prime Minister. In Greater Manchester, Labour won 25 of the 27 seats and the Liberal Democrats gained the other two.
