One more local pub crawl that has been pretty well gatekept is the Eccles ‘Golden Mile’, boasting 15 boozers along a one mile stretch, rivalling its Didsbury counterpart − with generally cheaper options.
Stretching from the bridge on Barton Road to the tram stop on Regent Street, there is a spread of pubs and bars old, new and in between spread across an exact mile of Eccles and Patricroft, and its popularity has been growing.
