Manchester’s Frenchie Cafe, In (Adorable) Pictures

Everything you missed if you didn’t manage to get a ticket to the cutest cafe in Manchester.

More than 200 French bulldogs descended on Yard and Coop in the Northern Quarter last month for Manchester’s first Frenchie Cafe. The event was organised by the people behind The Pug and Sausage Dog Cafes, who have held a number of similar events for the dogs and their owners in Manchester.

Cafe organiser Anushka Fernando said the event was a ‘huge success’, with more than 200 doggos attending. Four-legged friends were offered a dedicated doggy menu including bark-scotti, pupcakes and dognuts, and every dachshund also received a free Pupuccino, while humans were able to enjoy the restaurant’s famous buttermilk fried chicken.

Ms Fernando said:

“It was a HUGE success. We had more than 200 French Bulldogs attend in one day – they loved socialising and meeting new friends. Not to mention all the pupcakes, dognuts and pupuccinos (and more) on the menu.

“The feedback was really fantastic, it was a fun, happy event where owners and lovers of Frenchies could come together with their dogs meet likeminded people, get to know each other’s furry friends and just celebrate all things frenchie!”

She added:

“Of course, it was a great opportunity for those who don’t have French bulldogs to meet a whole group of them for cuddles! Its a great chance for potential owners to learn more about the breed from other owners and get a real understanding of their characters and temperaments.”

She said:

“We love Manchester – we’ve had Pug Cafes, Dachshund Cafes and Frenchie. It’s such an animal-loving city and we always get a huge response from the city when we come. We are planning to bring all three events back to the Northern Quarter hopefully in Spring!”
