Denmark, the land of bacon and pastries, the odd football icon (looking at you, Schmeichels), and beautiful furniture, has brought many incredible inventions across the North Sea to us. One of those that has benefitted Manchester in particular in the past couple of years is the wonderful Flying Tiger, hailing from Copenhagen, which serves us a variety of home solutions, cute bits and confectionery, all from the Arndale Centre. Now, the Trafford Centre has announced the grand opening of their very own Flying Tiger Copenhagen on Friday 14 February – just for the lovers.
The 1,500 square feet store will open on Upper Peel Avenue, next to the LEGO store (way to take over, Danes), creating 16 new jobs for the local community. Known for its playful and practical design philosophy, the brand’s eclectic product range spans from modern home décor and fun seasonal ranges to colourful everyday items such as stationery, party supplies, kitchen essentials and children’s toys.

To celebrate the launch, the first 200 customers to visit the new store on 14 February will receive an exclusive goody bag filled with items from the latest collection. Plus, the brand’s friendly mascot will be making special appearances throughout the day to entertain visitors of all ages.
Michael Burke, Managing Director for Flying Tiger Copenhagen UK & Ireland, said: “Flying Tiger Copenhagen aims to inspire and make every day extraordinary through affordable, design-led products. The opening of our Trafford Centre store marks our first opening in 2025 and expansion of our presence in the UK, bringing our unique shopping experience to even more customers.

“What’s more, Trafford Centre has been a target destination for Flying Tiger Copenhagen for a number of years as we focus on store opening opportunities in the North West of the UK, so we look forward to seeing how visitors to the centre embrace the new offering.”
