A brand new bar has shuffled into Manchester which combines high-tech shuffleboard with striking interiors, gorgeous cocktails and delicious sharing dishes. Known as Electric Shuffle, the sleek new venue in Manchester comes from the team behind the hugely popular Flight Club, which opened on King Street back in 2018, and is the brand’s fourth UK opening and its second outside of London.
Located on Manchester’s Deansgate, Electric Shuffle is now open and promises “a social experience like no other”. Mancs can expect addictive and high-energy games, semi-private shuffleboard areas dotted around a stylish art-deco-inspired central bar, DJ sets, an impressive cocktail list and a mouthwatering menu of small plates and sourdough pizza. At 11,400 sq ft, the Manchester location is the biggest Electric Shuffle venue in the UK, with 15 play spaces and a capacity of 450 people.
Electric Shuffle has given the classic game of shuffleboard a high-tech makeover creating a unique, supercharged version of the game. Using state-of-the-art camera vision technology, Electric Shuffle is able to track and score every puck, capture guests’ best moments with live shareable replays, and seamlessly integrate up to 32 players (up to 150 players at once for corporate events).
Visitors to Electric Shuffle in Manchester can choose from four immersive and fast-paced games, each designed for team-play while still giving individuals their glory. Games include Eclipse, which sees players aiming to slide and land their puck on (or as close as possible) to the target between the middle two zones of the board and Equaliser, which challenges players to land their puck in the zones at the far end of the table to get the highest score.
The Electric Shuffle bar features an industrial-art-deco vibe that oozes retro glamour – think plush shades of pink, green, mint and blue, distressed metal finishing touches, and stunning art-deco inspired lighting. Peppered throughout the space there are nods to the city’s rich musical heritage as well as Electric Shuffle’s signature neon bar turbine wheel and vintage electronics.
Guests at Electric Shuffle Manchester have a wide selection of food to sample including dishes perfect for sharing like buttermilk chicken bites with ranch and BBQ dips, spiced cauliflower wings with red pepper tapenade and jalapeño green salsa, sourdough pizza paddles and loaded fries. To wash it all down, Electric Shuffle boasts an extensive cocktail menu with signature cocktails, classics with a twist like Salted Caramel Euphoria (a take on the espresso martini), frozen cocktails as well as sharing trophy cocktails served in a show-stopping trophy cup.
Plus, like their sister company Flight Club, Electric Shuffle is also home to brunch sessions too – available to book on Saturdays and Sundays for two hours. Guests can quaff a bottle of Prosecco each and enjoy unlimited pizza from start to finish as well as 60 minutes of gameplay at the shuffleboard for £35 per person.
CEO, Steve Moore, who co-founded Electric Shuffle and Flight Club alongside Paul Barham, said ahead of the opening: “We couldn’t be more excited to bring Electric Shuffle to Manchester. We have loved our time in Manchester so far and the welcome that Flight Club has received over the past five years has been incredible.”
“From couples’ date nights to corporate events and everything in between, Electric Shuffle is a place that is built for friends by friends, and we can’t wait to show everyone in Manchester what we’ve been working on,” Moore added.
