Saddler’s Yard will host a free festival dedicated the city’s canine companions.
The festival season may be coming to a close, but Sadler’s Yard is giving the people of Manchester one last hurrah with dog-centered festival Sit and Stay. On September 8, the event space will welcome Manchester’s doggos (and their owners) for a day of shopping, street food and live music.
But the headline act will be the hounds themselves, as owners will have the opportunity to enter their four-legged friends in a dog show under one or more of the following (adorable) categories:
- Waggiest tail
- Smallest dog with the biggest attitude
- Best dressed for the weather
- Lookalikes (dogs and their owners…)
- Best Trick
- Gentle Giants
Plus the judges will be selecting someone from the crowd as best in show!
And the festival isn’t just for dog owners, admirers are welcome to come along, enjoy the dog show and peruse the market, which will include stalls by:
- Ivy & Duke
- Hunter’s Kitchen
- Barkside MCR
- Goody Paws
- Steph Coathupe
- Lucky Dog Deli
There will also be street food provided by Wholesome Junkies and Bon Street Food, as well as live music by Living Room Dance Club and Pasta Paul.
Entry to the festival will be free, but festival-goers must register for tickets. To enter your pooch in the show email jess@ohokltd.com with your chosen category and pet name in the subject line, or sign up on the day with a member of staff.
