Ok. So we’re not exactly living it up, Hermès tote in hand on the Upper East Side – but we still have it pretty sweet in the Northern Quarter. Bringing the New York vibes straight to our doorstep (cosmopolitans included), Ducie Street has announced a new disco brunch series, which promises to ‘nod to New York City’s glamorous brunch party scene’ every Saturday from 11am, officially kicking off next weekend on February 26th.
An ‘elevated disco experience’ with a themed party paying homage to disco culture around the world, this month’s disco brunch will see a glamorous roster of entertainment from 1-4pm, including a vogue performance from The Ghetto Collective, music from DJs Danielle Moore, Rebecca Never Becky and a live trumpet alongside a special host.
NYC-inspired brunch dishes will be served for the session, with tasty, filling plates including steak and eggs, rainbow bagels, tower stacks packed with Grandad’s sausages and bacon, an array of pimped-up Eggs Benny dishes, and of course, classic fried chicken waffles lathered in maple syrup. For the sweet tooths among us, the special Knickerbocker Glory with Northern bloc ice cream, Gooey cookie pieces, poached plums, whipped cream, cherries and wafers is particularly eye-catching.
Each dish can be enjoyed alongside bottomless Cosmopolitans and New York Sours (move over Samantha Jones…) for just £40pp (including brunch), and you can book your place here anytime between 11am-4pm on Saturdays to experience the event.
