British singer-songwriter David Gray has announced that he will be bringing his Past & Present Tour to Manchester next summer. David Gray, who was born in Sale, Greater Manchester, will be performing an outdoor show close to his hometown at Barton Aerodrome on July 2, 2025.
The Past & Present Tour celebrates Gray’s career, showcasing timeless hits from his multi-platinum albums alongside fresh material that reflects his continued evolution as an artist. Fans can expect a captivating live show at Barton Aerodrome, one of Manchester’s most historic and unique outdoor event spaces, providing the perfect setting for this special concert. With its wide-open landscapes, atmospheric backdrop, and easy access from the city centre, the venue offers a one-of-a-kind summer evening experience for music fans.
David Gray first captured international attention with his landmark album White Ladder, which went on to sell over 7 million copies and became one of the UK’s best-selling records of all time. With unforgettable songs such as Babylon, Sail Away, and This Year’s Love, Gray’s unique blend of folk, rock, and electronic elements redefined the singer-songwriter genre at the turn of the millennium.
Known for his emotive song-writing, distinctive voice, and powerful live performances, Gray has released a string of critically-acclaimed albums during his career and sold more than 12 million records worldwide. David Gray is set to perform at Radio 2 in the Park in Chelmsford, Essex this week (September 7) before touring across Australia.
