Taking place on July 21, the concert will recount bangers like “Get Lucky”, “I Feel It Coming”, “One More Time” and many more. Manchester Cathedral will be enveloped by the light of hundreds of candles and the upbeat melodies of the legendary duo for an unforgettable evening, you will not want to miss out on.
Candlelight Tribute to Daft Punk
Although they met when they were going to the Lycée Carnot secondary school, Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, also known as the French electronic duo Daft Punk, first started creating demos in 1993. Soon after, they released their first single in 1994, launched their debut album Homework in 1997, and since then have sold over nine million albums worldwide and even won seven Grammys.
From huge tracks such as “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger”, “Da Funk” and “Get Lucky”, this spectacular tribute show will delve into the genre for the first time ever, with the unbelievably talented String Infusion transforming the tracks with a classical spin. The all-female string quartet is known for taking popular music and adding their own classical touch, having performed at world-renowned events and arenas.
After having enormous success around the world—in cities like London, Manchester, Madrid, Barcelona, and Paris—Candlelight brings its unique experience to Manchester to pay tribute to one of the most popular musical duos in the world. On July 21 head to the Manchester Cathedral for an evening of magic and music. The concert starts at 6:30 pm and doors open 45 minutes prior to the start time, so you have plenty of time to take in the beauty of the cathedral and find your seats.
Note: For the safety of our audience, all of the candlelight will be provided through flameless candles.
