Following the release of a new single Solitude Of The Night Bus, and news of their forthcoming seventh album Pink Cactus Café, Courteeners have announced details of an autumn arena tour of the UK, including a Manchester date. Having recently played a massive headline show to 25,000 fans at Lytham Festival and due to play at TRSMT Festival in Glasgow tomorrow (July 13), the Manchester-born band will be going back to the roots with a performance at the city’s newest (and biggest) arena, Co-op Live.
The band from Middleton and fronted by Liam Fray, will perform at Co-op Live on November 15 following their first gig of their UK tour in Glasgow. Courteeners, who are best known for tracks such as Not Nineteen Forever, Are You In Love With A Notion? and Bide Your Time, will be supported by rock band DMA’S (expect for the London date).
As announced earlier in the week, Pink Cactus Café is Courteeners’ first new music since 2020′s More. Again. Forever. More recently, a reissue of Courteeners‘ debut album St. Jude reached number one in the UK Album Charts in 2023, fifteen years after its original release.
The tracks and album Pink Cactus Café is co-produced by Liam Fray and features contributions from friends of the band such as DMA’S, Brooke Combe, James and Ian Skelly (The Coral), Pixey, Charlie Salt (Blossoms), Ola Modupe-Ojo (Bipolar Sunshine) and Theo Hutchcraft (Hurts) amongst many more.
