Cottonopolis Brings Back Its Much-Loved Yum Cha - Secret Manchester

This Northern Quarter Restaurant Is Serving Up Bottomless Dim Sum Every Weekend

The bottomless event is back this weekend!

Dig out your stretchy pants for this one, Mancs, because the Northern Quarter’s Cottonopolis is bringing back its weekly Dim Sum event – set to take place every Sunday, just like it did before lockdown began.

Known as ‘Yum Cha’, guests are invited to fill up on unlimited Dim Sum (and then some!) which is brought around the restaurant on a trolley for diners to help themselves to at their table. Choose from an ever-rotating trolley of small plates served in gorgeous bamboo baskets, with each week switching up the 20+ options on offer.

A Cantonese tradition featuring a unique Japanese infusion, Cottonopolis has fully levelled up the traditional Chinese Sunday lunch, taking it from a sociable time with small nibbles, to a casual dining experience helping us fill our tums (or stuff them!) for a whole two hours with delicious sushi, bao buns, as well as steamed and fried dishes while catching up with friends.

The whole affair comes in pretty cheap too, with each sitting costing just £26pp for all-you-can-eat Japanese cuisine. Not only that, but the event features dessert dishes as well, so once you’ve satisfied your savoury cravings, you can finish off your meal with something sweet.
