It’s been two years since soap fans set foot on the cobbles to witness Coronation Street IRL for themselves, and after a pandemic filled with multiple murders, (socially distant) affairs, incarcerations and plenty of arguments on screen, fans can finally return.
Located at MediaCityUK – where Coronation Street has been filmed since 2014 – the unique tour allows fans to walk the street’s famous cobbles themselves, where visitors will find iconic businesses such as the Rover’s Return, Roy’s Rolls and The Kabin as they explore the set.
Announcing the news of its return via social media, Coronation Street The Tour confirmed: “EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT
“It’s Official – Coronation Street: The Tour returns on Saturday 12th March 2022! On selected weekends, you can discover the story behind life on the nation’s favourite street as you go behind the scenes and walk the cobbles. Limited tickets available, visit our website to secure your slot now.”
Running on select weekends throughout spring, visitors will be led on a guided tour throughout the set, with plenty of selfie opportunities and juicy behind-the-scenes secrets to enjoy throughout the 90-minute experience.
Continuum Attractions’ General Manager Steve Masters, said: “Even with all the drama unfolding on our screens over the last couple of years, those cobbles haven’t half been quiet and we’ve missed sharing them with all our guests! But, it’s going to be well worth the wait and we look forward to welcoming our first guests back on the street next month.”
