1. Frog & Bucket

2. Creatures of the Night Comedy Club
Creatures of the Night claims to be ‘Manchester’s newest and funniest comedy club’, and who are we to argue? The brand new independent club, located in the heart of Manchester’s Northern Quarter, aims to bring the best comedic talent to the city and provide a unique and welcoming atmosphere for audiences to enjoy live comedy.
The club features a variety of acts, ranging from up-and-coming comedians to established favourites. There is also a full bar and menu, so you can grab a drink and a bite to eat while you laugh the night away. 3. Hootch Comedy
Hootch Comedy presents a free entry, live stand-up comedy show at 33 Oldham Street in the heart of Manchester’s Northern Quarter. On the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month Hootch brings you some of the hottest acts around from TV acts working out new material to the new rising stars and local talent. Happy hour drink deals all night makes for the perfect mid-week pick-me-up, alongside free entry (seats are limited) – doors are at 7:30pm.

4. The Comedy Store
Currently operating out of Manchester venues The Bierkeller and Freight Island, The Comedy Store is perhaps one of the most iconic comedy clubs in the UK, with a store in London too. Boasting some of the best names in comedy, including Marcus Brigstock, Kerry Godliman and John Bishop, The Comedy Store brings quality comedy to Manchester, making it one of the best clubs around. 5. Chorlton Comedy Club
Formerly Comedy at Chorlton Irish Club, now in a new venue, Chorlton Comedy Club delivers the cream of the UK and International circuit to your doorstep on the first Friday of every month. The club claims that its bar prices are amongst the lowest in Chorlton (winner), has free parking and is ยฃ15 per ticket – sorted!

6. Murder Inc: The Improvised Murder Mystery
If you’re looking for something a bit different, look no further than Murder Inc. Combining the ever-popular murder mystery genre with comedy and improvisation, this concept changes every time, both in theme and content. Coming up is ‘All-Done Towers‘, a murder mystery show set at Alton Towers, followed by ‘Kermitting Murder‘, a murder mystery set at The Muppet Show… it’s just waiting to be improvised.

7. The Laughiฤnda Comedy Club
Offering free stand up comedy every Thursday night at Lions Den Bar, The Laughiฤnda Comedy Club specialises in new act/new material, showcasing the freshest talent from all over the North West, alongside TV headliners trying out new jokes. The club claimed the top spot at the North West Comedy Awards 2022, and puts on several other shows around town, including Comedy Shack, which takes place at The Shack in the Northern Quarter.

8. Side Street Comedy
After a sold-out debut, Side Street Comedy is back on Friday 15 March 7pm-10pm. The freshest venue in the city generally acts as a casual bar and social spot, hosting events and even revolving restaurant pop-ups, and now its offering officially includes a regular comedy night.
The line up this time includes Josh Jones, Tom Lawrinson, Tegan Marlow, Adam Anwar, and Justina Seselskaite, with the evening of humour allowing guests to discover emerging and established comedic talents and experience diverse comedic themes. They can also enjoy thoughtfully crafted cocktails in the relaxed setting of Side Street Studio, which we highly recommend.
